Plug-in SDK

Metasequoia Plug-in SDK is provided to create your own extension plug-in.

You can create a plug-in such as the following by using the SDK.

• Import
• Export
• Create (Create objects)
• Object (Deform objects)
• Select
• Station
• Command

To create a plug-in, Visual Studio 2010 or later for WIndows, and Xcode for macOS is required. And, the license for the Standard or EX edition is required to run created plug-ins.

• You can freely distribute the plug-ins that you created. However, if the plug-in features are to compete with the function of Metasequoia(All editions, including Standard/EX), distribution is prohibited.
• In Metasequoia 4, polygon is supported. Therefore, when using MQObject::GetFacePointCount(), five or more values may be returned. When you compile the plug-in for the old version, there is a case that does not work properly. Do not fix the size of the array to pass such MQObject::GetFacePointArray().You need to dynamically ensure the size of the array depending on the number of vertices.
• This SDK is available for both Windows and macOS.
