ブーリアンでの結合

添付画像のように、いわゆる「顔」と「耳」をブーリアンで結合したいのですが、
どうしても「処理に失敗しました。位置などの条件を変更して再試行してください。」
と出てしまいます。
出来ればこの形のまま結合したいのですが、形状を変化させる
必要があるのでしょうか…

画像からはよくわからない部分があるので確実なことは言えませんが、
・開いた部分がある
・完全に面や辺が重なっている
などの箇所があると当該のエラーメッセージが発生する可能性があります。
前者については[穴埋め]コマンドでハイライト表示される部分で確認できますので、
問題がないかどうかチェックしてみてください。
