シリアルコードについて

macOSでver4.7.4のメタセコを使用しているのですが、試用シリアルコードを入力しても「シリアル情報をPCから読み取ることができません」と表示され、登録ができません。Windowsの場合は管理者権限で実行すると良いらしいのですが、macの場合はどうすればいいのでしょうか…
